Instead of fighting it, I would just reach up behind me and tighten the clasp or angle the arms better so that it was more aerodynamic and still kept me sheltered all day. It clipped to my beach chair with total ease, and I loved that you could tighten it if it would slump over or the wind caught it and pushed it over on top of me.
